The archipelago of Les Saintes is made up of 2 main islands (Terre-de-Haut et Terre-de-Bas) as well as 4 small uninhabited islets, for a total aera of some 13 km2 (5 sq miles).
The bay of Terre-de-Haut is characterized by the beauty of the landscape with its small white houses with red roofs. This "must-see" tourist attraction with its varied relief, its magnificient beaches and its crystal clear waters make for an unforgetable miniature wolrd of unique charms.
Programme
Our vessel will hug the leeward coast of Basse-Terre in the direction off archipelago of les Saintes.
Thereafter, we will board our vessel once again to make a small for a small calm islet, far from the hustle and bustle of the tourists, so as to take one's ease and enjoy a drink and a meal in quietness of mind and soul. Here, you will meet the sole inhabitant of this "riock", a potter who works the clay he gets himself, direcltly in the mountains. He will be pleased to initiate you to his craft.
Finally, we will make for the Pain de Sucre beach which is situated on turquoise waters so clear as to take your breath away! Here you will be able to go for a swim and observe the fish in flippers, masks and snokels.
On the trip, you might be rewarded with the sighting of whales, spem whales or dolphins which are present all year long.

A meal will be served on the beach opposite of Les Sainte bay

Tradional headgear with a pointy top, it is made from bambou fibres covered with cloth which is white on the top and blue on the underside. It sometimes ports madras cotton with a particular plaid pattern and colouring. Its conical shmae shows its Indo-chinese origin.
Tradiional fishing craft, its manufacture has become widespread in the French Antilles because of its manoeuvrability and sea-wothiness. TTradinionally propelled by a sail, these wooden boats have made a name for themeselves in the bay's regattas.
